Australian government considers protecting wine regions

The West Australian government is considering blocking plans for a coal mine to be created within a wine-growing region of Margaret River.

The government is looking into ways of legislating to protect world-renowned wine-growing regions from the hands of developers and industrial use.

Australia is one of the main producers of good quality wine. Many of our wine racks have found their way to Australia over the years.
